There is nothing in the world more satisfying than the smell of a freshly baked loaf of bread, especially if ou bake it yourself. No sooner is it out of the oven, when its time to gather round and tuck into a slice of sheer joy. Bread of course is a staple of every diet and it comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes and can be found all around the world in various forms, be it ciabatta, sourdough, baguette tortilla or brioche, to name but a few, no household should be without freshly baked bread, by far, the most enjoyable part of daily life.

Here at the farm, we bake 3 times a week. We bake 3 types of bread, made up of locally milled flour from locally grown grain, nuts from the grove, our own olive oil and various seeds collected as we go along. We also knock out quick fire loaves of Irish soda bread, made with jogurt and porridge oats and making cakes is one of our favourite activities. In fact not  aday goes by without some sort of baking activity going on in the kitchen. Adults love it, children love it, we love it. Baking is a real unifier and so it should be!
